With precise craftsmanship informed by a strong sense of place, Summerhill transformed a defunct Davis Bay fish ‘n chip shop into a beloved Sunshine Coast landmark. The Wobbly Canoe’s renovation included relocating the kitchen and washrooms, extensive structural upgrades, and detailed interior finishing. Locally sourced wood was used to create a warm atmosphere, while large overhead doors and windows seamlessly connect the interior to expansive ocean views. Working alongside a Vancouver-based design team, Summerhill navigated challenging site conditions to deliver this project on an accelerated timeline, resulting in an instant community favourite with a casual-cool dining experience in an unbeatable oceanside location.
