Our Story

Founded by Brad Jennens in 1991, Summerhill grew from an entrepreneurial legacy spanning generations—grape farming, poinsettia cultivation, wood milling. Brad’s passion centred on crafting single-family custom homes with cost-effective construction and locally sourced materials. In the mid-2000s, he paused the business for two years to sail the Pacific with his family. Upon returning, Brad shifted focus to blending green building practices with architecturally inspired designs.

Summerhill has since expanded into commercial, municipal, and multi-family projects. In 2020, Dean Mural and Kyle Paisley joined as partners, enhancing the team’s capacity and solidifying their collective focus on becoming the go-to for high performance, design-forward buildings on the Sunshine Coast and beyond. Today, the company is driven by collaboration and integrity, creating design-forward, high-performance buildings that benefit both people and the planet.
